[Prologue]

It's the era of Taiko Hideyoshi.
The setting: a ninja village in the heart of Nara.
When the village is suddenly attacked by another ninja clan,
almost everyone is killed, save for a ninja girl named Hibari.
With only the ninja skills imparted to her by the late ninja master Gonzo,
she must set out to avenge her fallen comrades.

A freewheeling kunoichi with skills inherited from Master Gonzo himself.

- Kojiro
A kind ninja who, like Hibari, was adopted by Gonzo, and has a friendly rivalry with her.
He is expected to become the next leader of the clan.

- Gonzo
The strict but respected leader of the clan who raised Hibari and Kojiro as his own.

- Hannya
Kiichi's reckless head ninja that will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals.

- Hisanaga
A sorcerer that manipulates Hannya behind the scenes. Ruthless, and loves to use people.

-Kiichi Hogen
The leader of the Kiichi clan. He is shrouded in mystery.
