◆ ストーリー

名探偵の娘エルは、父親に憧れて探偵になることを志していた。

ある日、うたた寝をしていると悪夢を見てしまう。誰かもわからない人間に、無惨に犯される夢を。
チャイムによって目覚め、訪問者を迎えた先には刑事に、名探偵である父親が、死体となって発見されたと伝えられる。

向かった先は父親の旧友の家、現場にいるのは三人の父親の友人たち。
事件の真相を解き明かし、犯人を暴こうとするエルに行われる、理不尽で残虐な調査への妨害の数々。

悲惨な陵辱、屈辱を与えられながら、果たしてエルは真相に辿り着くことが出来るのか……?

物腰は柔らかではあるが、物怖じはしない。ただし、年相応に怯えたり躊躇う一面も。

・名探偵ショルムズ
エルの父親であり街の名探偵だった人物。
かつての同級生たちとの集まりに向かうが、そこで殺害される。
外見:英国紳士風の大人の男。髭を蓄えていて典型的な紳士風。

・マクスウェル刑事
今回の事件を担当する刑事。
ショルムズとも顔なじみ。真面目だがよく無茶振りをされる。
心優しく、エルのことをよく気にかけている。
外見:厳格な表情の成人男性。それなりに年齢は行っている。

・夫人
容疑者その1
ショルムズの同級生。
かつて旦那を殺害された経験があり、ショルムズはその事件をずっと追っていた。
エルに対してもショルムズの面影を見て優しく接する。
外見:綺麗で穏やかな表情の老婦人。お金持ちで気品のある。

容疑者その2
集まった人達の大学時代の恩師。
冷静沈着で何を考えているかわからないが、事件への協力は惜しまない。
