TV Show - Episode 5

This is an odd pitch for a pornographic show for Netflix. It's actually pretty unfortunate that right now there's drama on Youtube and Twitter about Master Chief having sex in Halo and I think that I also saw some drama about another character in another show having sex, plus She-Hulk is getting bashed for apparently having sex with a man in the trailer that dropped.

There's an odd kind of prudishness in our culture towards sex topics. One thing that I have an issue with is that a lot of people seem to view sex on-screen as something to be mocked, something to be fear, or a tool to be used for various purposes within the plot. It's not too often that I see sex portrayed as something, well, common that two lovers do for fun, or to show affection.

It seems as though the people funding shows have realized during the decade that putting sex in a show can result in huge viewership numbers, so they place a little bit of sex in a lot of shows. The problem that I think they run into is that they force short sex scenes into a universe that feels pretty sexless.

What I mean is that, in The Last Jedi the universe that the movie is set in feels very sterile, I guess. It felt like no one in the previous movie ever had sex with anyone for any purpose other than to specifically create a child, so it made scenes like Rey acting a little bit thirsty for shirtless Kylo, or Rose kissing Finn feel really awkward. It almost felt like Rose didn't even belong in the universe when she kissed Finn and Finn didn't even really react to her kissing him, as though he had absolutely no sex drive at all. The same applies to the Halo series, I think.

That's why I wrote the universe in this series so that pretty much everyone is horny to some extent, so that the sex scenes don't feel out-of-place. It's why The Witcher and Game Of Thrones succeeded while other shows fail. If you want to make a show where characters engage in sexy-sex, great, but you can't just purchase a recognizable brand where characters are known to not engage in sexual activities and then force them to start having sex without making the people who like those characters upset.

Anyways, this episode will probably be a bit divisive. Greed explains his dark backstory, Sugar and Sir Phobos get pretty freaky in the bedroom, the baby kishunimara gets a name, fan-favorite character Ice makes a brief appearance, and Eyeless's ex-boyfriend appears.

Next episode, I'm thinking of doing a time-travel plot where Acorn travels back in time to see a past version of Sir Phobos from when he was younger and in the military, while Dusk goes much further back in time and gets to see Saffire before she died.
