N.i.P. (1.0.4)
In N.i.P. (Short for Nal in Peril), you play as an Avali named Nal who has to make their way off of a ship infested with parasitic tentacled lifeforms that seem undeterred by a lack of willingness. The game is fairly short, but should suffice to entertain those that are into tentacles and avians.
This game features a gratuitous amount of tentacles shoved into a relatively short space. Originally it was simply made as a way to test new methods for coding combat in the Inform engine, as well as to test other systems and smaller pieces of code. However, it has grown into a cozy little game that I figured I would share around to see what people's thoughts on it are.
Currently it is fully text-based only aside from a few things. I don't have even a percentage of the money required to hire an artist for even sketches. The game is also coded in the ancient Inform Engine, as I don't have the coding skills to make the game in some other software! I urge you to not let either of these things deter you, as the game has had a lot of effort put into it. Additionally it has some features that require a third party software called Gargoyle to download, please check the Readme.txt included in the download for details!
Also, while suggestions are welcome, this game is currently in a state I'm comfortable with calling completed. I've put a lot of time and effort into making sure that even the relatively small project still has a lot packed into it, and would really like to see how much people end up enjoying it before planning out more things to add or expand upon. I will, however, try to at least respond to ideas. And, of course, I will also be more than willing to fix bugs (though it should be bug free...).
Credits:
I am not the owner or creator of the Avali. All credit for them goes to RyuujinZERO! I merely wanted to include them in this project due to their cuteness. So again, thanks and credit to RyuujinZERO, who is the person who made and owns the rights to the Avali species! Highly recommend checking her out, as well as the numerous art and lore of the Avali, and fanworks of them!
