Yūrei

Two sisters called Masumi & Aoi Tanaka both grew up in rural village named Kojisato. The village was filled with a dark history of hundreds, thousands of people being wrongfully executed for a crime they did not commit & history of sadistic rituals, which has triggered Kojisato's residents with bad luck and torment. Residents believe the happy village is infested with a supernatural presence that drives the residents insane and inflict harm on others, some say it's the ghosts of the deceased haunting the town seeking for revenge. 

The two sisters were inseparable from a young age, seen as bundles of joy by all who lived in the village, it would only be a matter of time that misfortune fell on the two sisters. Upon them trying to leave the village with their parents, a deathly howl blew across the village with their parents being killed by a inhuman being. The sister's, Masumi 8, Aoi 1 were locked in a wooden shed watching their parents being ripped apart by the beast. It was said whoever tried to leave would end up dying, going insane on the outside or returning back to the village. 

After the incident, the matter was sweeped under the carpet and the two sisters were put up for adoption. Masumi was especially tormented by what happened and began experiencing paranormal interactions with a unseen being. Eventually the two sisters were adopted by Himari Nakamura from a town 15 miles away from Kojisato, she was a mature woman who suffered with infertility and wanted children to fill her lonely void. To protect the sisters from their horrible past and the village's secrets she changed the sister's surnames names to hers. Aoi grew up forgetting the village more and more each year that flew by, however for Masumi the memories and torment would progressively worsen each year. 

Before Masumi's sudden disappearance she would talk to things that weren't there, have nightmares of the village and even confining herself to the storage cupboard where she would draw the village by memory all over the walls. Masumi went missing, no one knew where she went or how she was. She took nothing, not even her shoes. This left Aoi, now aged 18, questioning where her sister went and spiralling in a deep depression. The confusion stopped when Aoi experienced the exact dreams Masumi had before her disappearance, the nightmares shown the village's dark history and of a room with a human's heart beating on it's own with Masumi walking towards it. Aoi questioned her mother Himari about her nightmares and the village, Himari was lost for words with fear for Masumi and tried to explain the girl's upbringing. After hearing of her dark past Aoi was determined to find Masumi at the Kojisato village but downplayed the village having a supernatural presence. She realised the supernatural presence was very real when her and a group of her friends went searching for Masumi...She was foolish to think these stories were just "fairy tales."

All sound effects and music are heavily credited along with software's I used.
