WEEPING ROSEMARY : THE DEMO focuses on the story of a young, Ophelia Burrows; daughter of the wealthy Burrows family, taking place sometime in the 1890s. Both her parents end up in an unfortunate automobile accident, forcing her to leave her time in her all girls boarding school and returning back home, since three years, to check on the condition of her parents.

The eventual, FULL GAME of Weeping Rosemary, is the premise of Ophelia, our protagonist, who is trapped under the hands of a demon, who never lets her leave their sight; always keeping her confined to her room, otherwise. The full game, would be Ophelia attempting to escape, forced to re-live distorted memories and traumas; alongside facing horrific truths regarding her family, and herself - becoming a deranged 'Coming of Age' story. 

The story genre of the FULL GAME would become one of psychological horror & thriller, drama, fantasy, and... maybe a slight bit of romance; wanting to encapsulate the story-telling aura of a gothic book.

The DEMO, introduces the player into the day PRIOR to when the events of the full game starts - letting the player interact with Ophelia's environment and get to know all the important players within her life, before things take a turn for the worst. 

The story genre of the DEMO, therefore, is a drama, with elements of comedy, a hint of romance, and something... unsettling lurking within the narrative. ( For those who look into the writing & explore all endings & areas )

Both games follow a simple puzzle format, reminiscent to old RPGMaker games - involving searching for keys, figuring out riddled words, and gathering items together to progress further through the story. 

The DEMO's "puzzles" are very simple, and aren't too crazy; however, when the FULL GAME is made, I hope to be able to further expand upon not only the gameplay, but story & art, as well!

The last thing I want to say, as a creator, is that I hope you all enjoy playing the DEMO!! 

This is my first time ever, making a game ( thank you RPGMaker MV for being a godsend ); so it is a bit nerve-wracking, but also, very exciting! I always wanted to make something like this, so this DEMO is my first step at doing so. 

I definitely want to keep moving forward with this project, so please, continue to wish me luck as I keep going, and hopefully, make WEEPING ROSEMARY into a full-fledged game.
