"VENOM"

20-year-old Pepperon is hopelessly in love with game character Venom. So you'd think it'd be a dream come true when a self-aware program (...maybe?) calling itself Venom suddenly appears on her computer, right?

…Not quite.

This Venom is nothing  like the one Pepperon's been imagining.

"VENOM" is my undergraduate thesis project, and what I've spent the past 8 months working on (1 year if you count Halcyon Days!). In academic-speak, it's an "autoethnographic, character-driven narrative project exploring the dangers of rigid self-definement and the challenges of identity-building through the lens of parasocial relationships with fictional characters." 

Blah. 

This game is me working through years of struggles with my sexuality, mental health, and sense of self-identity. Years of self-loathing, self-persecution, loneliness, bitterness, jealousy... I'm sure you get the idea. Anyway, I don't want to write too much here. I'd rather you just play the game!
