Q. Do I need to have played LISA: The Joyful to play or understand this repainted fangame?

A. Between you and me, you can go in absolutely blind, but for the sake of legal please-don’t-fucking-sue-me appeasement, I highly recommend that you simply must play the official games first (which you can learn about on ). Neither I, nor this fangame, are associated with Dingaling aka Austin Jorgensen, or Serenity Forge. This game is also not linked to the actual LISA canon in any way. In fact, the repainted game follows its own narrative so if you don’t know the source materials for any of the character replacements, don’t worry about it! It’s more like a bonus if you do know so you can be in on the gag.

Q. Wait, this isn’t a mod? But the teaser trailer said-

A. For the sake of legal distinction, no. This parody fanwork counts as a fangame due to how expanded the scope of it became. The repaint has an entirely reworked movement system through the LCM script and has outright erased and/or changed a lot of things in the base Joyful - if you were to simply put stuff in the base game via the folders it simply wouldn’t work nor be compatible as it is now pretty much an entirely different game from LISA the Joyful in its structure. So the instructions for this fangame is just download and run it.

Q. What is this fangame’s age rating?

A. It is still rated 18 by the BBFC/PEGI standards and is not for kids as it contains the same content warnings as the original LISA: The Joyful, which are as follows - DRUGS, ALCOHOL, SEXUAL THEMES, VIOLENCE, LANGUAGE, DISTURBING IMAGES. Like the majority of repainted games, the humour and imagery within is also quite crass and potentially offensive at some points so YMMV. 

Q. Why did you decide to host it on your itch.io with your explicit adult works rather than separately?

A. So annoying people and children wouldn’t play it. Think of it like how poison frogs are brightly coloured so you know to avoid them.

Q. My computer / Anti virus programme is going uh oh at the exe file. This is safe right?

A. 100% safe to download. The exe simply extracts the games files into an allocated main folder (like you downloads file) to your choosing.

Q. Can I stream the game?

A. I’m pretty sure you can on YouTube, but due to some of the music I am not too sure if you can on twitch. Maybe in the future someone can help me release a version where all the music is terrible copyright free midi covers *wink wink*.

Q. Can I play this on Mac or Android? 

A. At this current time, unfortunately not. The game heavily utilizes RPG maker's movies function, and on all platforms other than Windows PC, they crash the game. There is currently no work around for this.
