Sex Quiz 2024 (Masculine Version)
This game is a hack of a hack.
In 1983, Onslow Comtek released a pair of games most likely called: Sex Quiz (Lady Version) and Sex Quiz (Man Version), as can be seen on the ad lower on this page. The games are quizzes about sexual and romantic preferences made to be played by one player in front of other(s) (whether friends, date(s) or partner(s)). The "Lady" version is surprisingly inclusive for 1983, offering queer-friendly options everytime there is a question about potential partners. Unfortunately, the original "Man" version is completely lost to this day from online archives, and is sometimes mistaken by a homophobic hack made by a pirate called Trevor.
It is impossible to know how inclusive or exclusive the original game was, especially considering how homophobic the video games milieu was in the 80s, but this game doesn't intent to replace the missing one. This game is gay, transmasculine, non-binary, bisexual, pansexual, polyamorous, asexual -friendly.
Whether you play it out of historical curiosity or not, it's still a fun quiz to have, and the original "Lady" version is playable on the wonderful archive (a website dedicated to the preservation of sexually expicit content for Commodore 64).
Made thanks to archival research and gathering help from and his 1.5to personal database around the C64.
It runs in a javascript emulator created by !
Be patient while the game loads. It usually takes around 30 seconds. Here is an ad found in the magazine Compute! number 38, from July 1983. You can see a list of games advertised by Onslow Comtek, the last one being "LSQ/MSQ - X rated puiz for parties - fun" (LSQ for Lady Sex Quiz and MSQ for Man Sex Quiz). As an additional info, out of all the games listed in this ad, only Trabic is still archived online, all the other ones are lost, including Nefarious Castle which was the main appeal in this ad.
This pirate archeology was made possible thanks to conversations with cool Commodore people, including the retro-computing association and from the EverythingC64 discord server !
I chose to name my hack "Masculine Version" and not "Man version", because I don't really believe in gender anymore.
