Oni Okaasan (Early Beta Build)

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The game (and also this download page) is currently in a VERY early alpha stage, but I wanted to release something nonetheless. At this proof of concept stage, not every bit of the  Roguelike features is functioning. Randomized enemies and powerups are working, but the map randomization is currently slated for the next update, as well as a second party member choice for Act 1. Furthermore, assets such as Ryoko's overworld sprite are placeholders, which will be replaced soon.

You can report bugs in the comment section or by messaging me on Twitter @M1dnightREN about them, and I will try to release hotfixes as soon as I figure out how to fix them.

Recent Updates:

Version 0.18 (30/11/23) - Fixed a bug preventing characters from re-initializing and starting new runs with 1 hp after losing, as well as a healing skill with incorrect targetting.

ABOUT THE GAME

As my main game, Oni Oneesan is on hiatus while it's being ported to a new engine, I decided to work on a short prequel Roguelike RPG taking place about 10 years before the events of Oni Oneesan. 

Oni Okaasan follows the exploits of Queen Ryoko, mother to Mai and Tetsuko, as she eagerly leaves behind the dull monotony of council meetings and audience hearings to put down a rebellion brewing in her kingdom. Build a party consisting of various characters from the Oni Kingdom, level them up, unlock powered up variants of your special moves, and take down the rebel army!
