Mounted (Demo)
Step onto the mats and into a world where strength isn’t just physical—it’s about heart, connection and self-discovery.
You play as Dan, an everyday guy with no athletic background, but a curiosity for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. More comfortable behind a screen, watching memes, he never saw himself as the kind of person to step onto a mat—until now. Drawn to the challenge, he throws himself into training at Rainbow BJJ, a gym known for being a safe and inclusive space for fighters of all backgrounds.
Beyond the training, Dan finds himself pulled into the lives of those around him—fellow fighters with their own histories, struggles, and ambitions. Rivalries ignite, friendships form, and the lines between training partners and something more begin to blur. He never expected to find love on the mats, but the more he grapples—physically and emotionally—the clearer it becomes: this journey isn’t just about learning Jiu-Jitsu. It’s about discovering who he really is.
Will he rise to the challenge, both on and off the mats? Or will he tap out before the real fight even begins?
🟢 Julian
Julian grew up in a Mexican household filled with laughter, tradition, and the rich aromas of home-cooked meals. Wrestling was his first love, and for a time, he thrived in the world of lucha libre. But life pulled him in another direction. Now, he balances his passion for combat sports with the demands of adulthood. Even so, his warmth remains—he finds joy in cooking for friends, cracking jokes at just the right moment, and watching drag with the enthusiasm of a true fan. Yet sometimes, in the quiet moments between laughter, a flicker of something else lingers—a question he hasn’t quite answered for himself.
🔴 Fumio
To Fumio, movement is an art form—whether it’s brush strokes on a canvas or the fluid transitions of Jiu-Jitsu. Raised in Japan, he learned discipline through tradition, patience through practice. He speaks little but observes much, expressing himself through sketches and fleeting, thoughtful gestures. His apartment is both a sanctuary and a reflection of his inner world. He prefers the company of deep conversations over small talk, and though he values his independence, there’s an unmistakable solitude woven into the life he’s created.
🔵 Burak
Burak carries himself with the confidence of a man who knows his own strength. A skilled Turkish oil wrestler, he commands respect in any match, his movements powerful and precise. But outside the ring, his footing is less certain. He’s spent years defining himself through physical dominance, yet when the crowd is gone, and the adrenaline fades, there’s a restless energy in him—one that drives him forward but keeps him from standing still too long. He enjoys the camaraderie of the fight, the easy laughter over cold beers with friends, but true closeness? That’s another battle entirely.
🟣 Coach George
A retired American wrestling legend, George was once at the top of his game before stepping away from the spotlight. Instead of fading into obscurity, he built something new—Rainbow BJJ, a haven for fighters who, like him, needed a place to belong. Off the mats, he leads a simple life—riding motorcycles, fixing things with his hands, and enjoying quiet moments away from the noise. He’s a firm but fair mentor, respected by all who train under him. Though he doesn’t dwell on the past, there’s a weight in his silence, a history left mostly unspoken.
Is this your first visual novel?
Yup. This is my first visual novel and first game. I started it as a passion project. I didn’t know how to code, so I just learned Ren’py along the way.
Does the game use AI?
Yeah. I wrote the story and made the characters, but I used AI to help with writing and art. It helped get ideas out of my head and into the game. I still want the final version to feel human.
Will the art be hand-drawn later?
Right now, it’s all AI generated. but I’d really like to work with real artists to give it a more personal look.
Is there official character art?
Kinda? I want players to imagine the characters a little bit how they want. I do have some ideas of what they look like though. If an artist wants to help bring them to life, I’m open to that.
I’m an artist. Can I help?
Definitely! If you want to draw characters, backgrounds or UI stuff, message me. I’d love to team up with people who care about the story.
Is the demo free?
It’s completely free. I just want people to play it and share their thoughts. If you’d like to donate, you can but it’s not required. Any money donated will go toward paying actual artists.
Can I send feedback or bug reports?
Please do. This is my first time doing something like this, so I know there might be mistakes. Any feedback helps me improve the game.
How can I support the project?
Just play the demo and tell me what you think. If you want to help with art or ideas, I’d love that too. Thank you! ❤️
