Mod support:

KS-HD comes with mod support built in, allowing for new features, graphics replacements, and expansions to be developed. Mods are distributed as .rpa files, and are installed in the same manner the patch for the Steam version of Katawa Shoujo is, by dragging the file into the `game` directory.

On macOS, right-click > Show Package Contents, then browse to `Contents/Resources/autorun/game`.On Android, the path is `Android/data/org.fourleaf.ks/files/game` (you may need to connect to a computer to access it).On iOS, files are added to the ipa file before install; open it like an archive and go to `Payload/Katawa Shoujo.app/base/game`.The following first-party developed extensions are available:3D Mode (incl.) - Context-aware parallax with multiple layers. - Upscaled with waifu2x. Katawa Crash is an Act 1–era Flash  based on another  where the goal is to launch Hisao as far as possible. For the purposes of this project, it has been remade in Godot and made available for all supported platforms.
