Just another day

Solo developed in about 2 days for Mermelada Game Jam. All code and assets (graphics and music) has been created by me (but music was be composed before the jam).

Wake up early, work yourself to the bone, buy, buy more, BUY MORE AND MORE! And then start all over again. Will you ever achieve happiness?

This is an experimental experience inspired by by Molleindustria, but with a slightly different meaning.

Just another day explores how the promise of happiness through consumerism ultimately leads to disappointment and unfulfilled expectations, and also distorts our connections, encouraging us to see relationships as products designed to fulfill our emotional needs.

This game is not fun: it’s an experiment, what I want to convey is not obvious, there’s no final conclusion, but there is an intention behind it.
