Interstellar Harem 2
You are a captain in a galaxy-wide organization of rogues and scoundrels, famous among your rascally colleagues for your wit, charm and gambling spirit.
You've been hired by an Orossari heiress to investigate an unusual tear in the universe between planet Doxa and a mysterious realm.
Only, your instincts tell you she's holding back the truth. But we all have your secrets, don't we?

Well, powerful as you are, your enemies may be more powerful yet!TauraBorn into the luxurious surroundings of an exclusive space station in Saturn's orbit, Taura somehow ended up in the much more humble companionship of the military. From there, she made it into the exclusive ranks of the guild. That can't be the full story, can it? Taura doesn't like to speak about her past, but the progeny of the galaxy's richest don't end up in the military. And military grunts don't get promoted into the guild.
My gut tells me there're still secrets behind that affable grin and carefree attitude. I guess it doesn't matter. She has the heart of a horse, and the strength of a Greek hero. If she can fight, and she'll fight for me, then we'll get along just fine.
BrynBrynleigh was the only one who followed me, out to doomed planet Doxa. The others all found excuses. I couldn't say why she came, but then I gave up trying to predict her years ago. She's a master at hiding her mind.Perhaps that comes with being an expert assassin. One of the guild's best. She appears where she's least expected; and when she does, you better hope she's on your side.
Quick to anger, but I've never seen her sad. Perhaps that all came out when her parents died back on Jenemal Minor.
Well, she cried that one time... But that was just one of those trashy romance novels she's addicted to.
She did manage to get revenge for her parents' deaths, by the way. On the fools who triggered the chain reaction. Though she doesn't remember how, given she had the memories surgically removed from her mind.
Given a guild invite showed up soon after, I'm guessing it was bloody.
OdesaOdesa's the client. And, like most clients, she's rich and privileged. Enough to no longer be here on Doxa -- I guess I should give her that much. She first stumbled upon the cognitive web; while working with her Orossari colleagues in the Blessed Quarter. As the research efforts expanded, things got out of hand, and she found herself on the outside. Needing guilder help.
They love her there, in the Quarter. In the spotlight from a young age, she became known for representing the Orossari ideals of compassion and thoughtfulness. That can't have been easy, the pressure of all that exposure in her youth.
She's still not very clear on why she hired me, honestly. She seems to want something from within the web... But she's not exactly the most forthcoming type.
I do know she's making an enemy of the massive Doxan corporation, Ennui. But I guess you don't call the guild to scare foxes from the back fields.
KinBlack magic. That's the only description for Kin. She shouldn't be, but she is.My oldest companion, and the one I'd fight a war against the galaxy for. One day, she and I will burn as the Nereid collapses around us. Every morning, I hope it's not today.

See the attached video () for gameplay demonstration.
Maybe it's like that game where you fly about the galaxy collecting brave souls for a suicide mission... Or maybe the space opera where you turn out to be the amnesiac dark lord...Does she need to usher the spirits beyond the veil? Or perhaps the game where you steal hearts? Is that the god of murder's blood in your veins? Does your megalomaniac rival dream of being the witch's knight? Or is the town cursed to eternal winter?
No, that doesn't seem right... It's not like any of those games. It's something familiar, but different.
Only a solo dev could make it, and only a solo dev would invest this much love, care and attention. It's a game made for you. (Especially if you recognized the references above!)
Wind rattled the scaffolding, carrying heavy fumes from the city far below. From this angle, the buzzing hazedome was clearly visible, surrounded by a fire barrier of flattened ruins. Underneath, the Orossari sequestered themselves away in their beloved Blessed Quarter.
It all started there. When Odesa and the others found structures within the Femtal-Zark field. That strange, extra-physical realm, only barely within reach.
What is that place? Why does it react to organic minds? Does it want something from us? Or do we need it, a part of us we cannot escape?
A long purple feather lay on the scaffolding, weighed down by ash from burning Doxa. I brushed my finger along the length, the silky texture helping to pull by thoughts away from the abstract.
None of that mattered. I needed to focus on the important question: who built the cognitive web? Why did they build it?... As things were, we may not have the time to answer even that.
'It's coming.' Taura had said it, and she was right. Even now, I could hear the drums of war.
The wind whipped Mouse's short hair. What was she thinking behind those inscrutable glassy eyes? Was her mind also focused on the web?
If we don't control it, they'll use it against us. So, void take me... Forgive my sins and grant me peace. We had better well control it.
Early accessConsider this an early access preview build, showing the first part of the game.
There is a ton of content in the build (far, far more than your average game demo). Probably a good ten hours or more, honestly. If some parts appear polished, please remember that it's still early in development.
Also, please be tolerant of any early hiccups. Even multi-billion dollar companies like OpenAI screw up their launches in stupid ways.
This is a solo-dev game, built with and ultra-nimble and agile approach. My hope is to create a rich experience, but in a way that is practical on this minimal scale. Because there are just too many bloated multi-hundred dev games today.
adult content noteWhat happens when you put together a team of rogues and scoundrel over-achievers at the peak of health? Well, I'd imagine it'd be like the Olympic dorms, wouldn't you?
This work contains some optional nsfw content. All nsfw content is between consenting adults. Nothing is derogatory or demeaning and certainly not forced or hurtful. It's not explicit or vulgar. It's just silly fun to help the characters come alive (with more than a bit of unexpected nudity).
I believe the best adult content is the kind that integrates well with a real game; rather than something built into an execute for a game. That's why the characters are real characters, with in a believable world. Please don't take it seriously; it's just about kicking your feet up after a hard day at work.
All recruitable characters are female, and the player can select their own pronouns.
You will get a clearly marked choice a little way into the preview, and if you prefer, all nsfw content can be disabled then (in which case you'll not even know it's present).
None of this is a reaction to (or commentary about) the recent controversy. It's just how I wanted to make this particular game.
CompatibilityIf the build doesn't work for you immediately, please check back in a week. This game contains a lot of new technology, and my testing resources are finite.
Vulkan and XAudio2 are used. Older versions of Windows (7, 8) or emulation (parallels/Linux) made need to ensure they have the appropriate dlls/support configured -- though emulation hasn't been tested. These libraries are commonly used in games.
It's possible older versions of Windows may need to update "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" packages. (2015 or 2017 versions are required, the itch app handles this automatically).
You should be fine even on reasonably low-power hardware. In fact, I did a fair portion of the development on a min-spec ARM for Windows tablet, basically the extreme end of modern low-spec.
Native Android/Mac/Linux support is a possibility in the future, if there's interest in it.
