Industrial Sabotage: or, How to Fight in a World on Fire

u drop in on a factorio-style factory & sabotage its fossil fuel extraction operations

this game was made for the GMTK game jam 2023, where the theme was "Roles Reversed". i've been reading up on clim8 activism l8ly, so the idea was fresh on my mind, & while brainstorming for the jam i thought abt how factory building games are essentially abt destroying an environment by extracting its resources & emitting pollutants. in factorio, that is actually part of the text! so i thought i'd make a game where instead of building a polluting factory, you tear one down. l8er i realised that bomberman kinda does this already, which makes him a hero to us all in the fight against anthropogenic clim8 change o7

all art & animation assets made by me (jennynuts) during the 48h period of the jam, altho the buildings' designs are heavily inspired by the design of certain factorio units

Controls:

press left shoulder button (or Q) to spawn a bombpress a (or Spacebar) to put down or pick up bombspress right should button (or E) to detonate a bomb (first in, first out)press b (or right-click) to throw a cocktail. mind ur fuel consumptionmove around w/left stick (or WASD)look around w/right stick (or arrow keys)

Known issues:

for some weird reason u don't actually have to finish the game to win. idk how to fix this but i kinda like it actuallyi forgot to teach u the game's inputs in the game itself. whoopsthis game is untested on anything but macOS
