Description

Escape from Portland is an arcade style driving game about Terry Davis' escape from Portland. Outrun the police and along the way you will encounter glow in the darks. Try to beat my top score of 27 on level 10. 

This game was developed with the excellent Godot engine.

Spec

This game will run on a toaster that supports OpenGL ES 3.0

 I play this on a laptop with integrated graphics Intel HD5500 and it uses about 60MB of RAM and 25% of 2.7GHz CPU

Controls

Controls are up, down, left and right or WSAD. Shift+Esc to exit while in the game. You can modify camera height with 1 and 2 keys.

Status - In Development

This game is fully playable, there are no game breaking bugs that I've found but I want to continue to add to it.  Any feedback to help improve the game would be appreciated.

Goals

I'm happy where the game is now, it's a fun game to play, but I want continue to work on it. My main goal for this is to make it flow well, be a configurable, relaxing game that'll run on anything.

About the project

I made this for Terry Davis who died recently, he said to make games, don't play them, he also said to entertain God. Terry was a very intelligent, troubled man who struggled with schizophrenia. Despite his disability he was a talented developer and created an OS and wrote a compiler.
