DNMMPDSMN
A very rough prototype of a M4rio M4ker like game where you can create custom worlds and play around in them.
Right now there's not much to do other than place blocks, platforms, spikes, and little dinosaurs/lizards that do absolutely nothing! The spinning coin is the "objective" and once reached the player is teleported back to the spawn point (if one has been set).
The default world is an example of what you can do as the game is right now. Try to find the coin on the map!
Most things are configurable via the JSON files that come with the game, including sprite animations, blocks and platforms.
The basic DNMMPDSMN.zip should run on 64 bit windows without any issues. If it doesn't, you can download DNMMPDSMN_console.zip to see some debugging information, or DNMMPDSMN_console_softwareGL.zip if you're running on a virtual machine without hardware acceleration.
DNMMPDSMN.zip now also contains the required opengl32.dll to run on a VM using Mesa3D, but it's tucked away into a subfolder "SoftwareRendererDLL" by default. If you'd like to not have the console pop up, but still run with a software renderer, you can copy opengl32.dll from there to the executable directory.
Right now the "inventory" doesn't explain any of the tiles, so here's some hints:
The blue fire/goop stuff, and the health pack are spawn points. The game will spawn players at the first found spawn tile, starting it's search from the bottom of the map upwards. You should only have ONE of these per world.
Spikes are the only thing that damages the player. Once HP reaches zero, you respawn.
You "win" a level by finding a coin. Colliding with a coin will display a win screen, and reset the level.
This game was made for Strawberry Jam 7, and it contains some sexual content! 18+ only!
