幼い頃から傍にいて、創作に関しては良きライバル関係だった。
しかし、年齢を重ねるうちに自分と逢桜は何かが違うんだと思うようになっていく。
その後、逢桜は家の事情で東京に引っ越してしまう。

離れ離れになった寿季と逢桜は手紙で近況を話しながら、互いの書いた小説を送りあっていた。
しかし、進学を境にぱったりと逢桜からの連絡が途絶えてしまう。

それでも寿季は創作活動を続け、同人ゲームを製作し、さらにはライトノベルで商業デビューを果たしていく。

順調にクリエイターとして成長していった寿季だが、半年前のとある出来事を境にスランプになってしまう。
