About the Creator

G'day! My name is Physic [AKA Badtech Games] I've been writing small stories, creating worlds and concept design for characters and games since I was in grade four. I've always had a passion for games and the immersive storytelling. I've recently started getting used to the tools I need to put my own ideas into a more tangible form and I hope you can enjoy experiencing them as much as I enjoy creating them.

What is After Dark?

After Dark is a Furry Visual Novel/RPG hybrid. In which you take on the role of Kage Dark (Default player name), a strange a curious being that is neither human nor beastkin, that is more commonly called a "Half-breed" You will follow Kage's story through his eyes as he grows and develops, beginning with his first day of University. However there are forces at work that will not allow him to settle into a normal life and it isn't long before things start getting out of hand as a result.

Why did you decide to create After Dark?

It started as merely a hobby, a creative outlet for myself. However, after playing numerous VN's from other creators and noticing how much I enjoyed those as well as ideas on what I felt could be added, It really inspired me to put my own project out there for others to enjoy along the way. I felt my own humble submission could become an entertaining, moving and thought provoking experience for others as well, so I decided to share my project works.

How does this differ from other visual novels/games?

There are a couple of differences, firstly, the perspective of the player character himself. I wanted a character that was able to be more proactive about his situation in life, I wanted a character that had his own plans for his future, and showing a story from a top's perspective, (None of this bottom nonsense, at least not yet).

Secondly, After Dark's RPG styled battle system isn't something I've seen a lot of in the few VN's I've played, . This is something I've really wanted to see more of in visual novels so I got off my fine ass and did it meself (Made a badge and all).

Will there will be romance options and/or sex scenes?

Oh you filthy little goblin you, I like you already! 

Yes, there will be. Even mainstream creators are bringing romance into games. I believe that in order to make a game that feels more natural and immersive, it requires aspects and events that players can relate to, I feel that attraction, romance and sex not only help flesh out the character and allow the player to share in their experiences, but also give the story a more authentic feel as a whole.

Aside from granting us greater resources to develop the game to a higher quality standard, there are many benefits to becoming a patron, ranging from getting the latest build and updates before the public, access to voting polls for content and characters, to having your own character appear in game as a cameo or even as a major character.
